What is Art + Race?
Art + Race: a convergence of provocation, strategy and beauty. What does that mean? It means that visual artists, writers, musicians, dancers, and filmmakers who are also community organizers, academics, politicians, philanthropists, entrepreneurs and others will come together to reimagine the role and impact that race plays in every aspect of our creative lives. From education to transportation to housing and media and beyond, we will investigate the beautiful and difficult truth to shake loose the scales of denial in order to imagine and manifest a reality of intersectional equity. The Art + Race Conference is open to the public. Tickets are $35 - $60 and include lunch.
